BOBBY’S REPORT
This Thursday the next monthly meeting of the
Fife Darts Association will be held in the CISWO, Glenrothes and starts from
7.30pm.
Lochgelly Darts League will also be holding
their next monthly meeting, the date for that is next Wednesday (10th
Feb) and goes ahead in Shardys, starting at 7.30pm.
The result from the women’s Super League
match between Dunfermline and the Clansman was a 3-2 win for Dunfermline. The
result means the league table positions are as follows; 1st Kennoway
Bowling Club with 28pts, 2nd CISWO (27), 3rd Shardys
(21), 4th Dunfermline (13), 5th Royal Tavern (11), 6th
Railway Tavern (10) and the Clansman are bottom with 9. The top stats were;
highest average – Izzy Brannan (Royal Tavern) with 16.02, highest checkout –
Kath Aldred (Dunfermline) with 96 and the fastest leg was 23 darts by Margaret
Murdoch of the Railway Tavern. The next round of fixtures is scheduled for next
Thursday.
In the men’s Super League last week with
Cowdenbeath having the bye, those behind them had the chance to benefit from
them being idle and move ahead. East Fife took slight advantage of this in
their match with Glenrothes as they ended up with a 4-4 draw but Lochgelly A
took the opportunity to move to the top of the table with a 6-2 win against
their B team. In the tie between the two Dunfermline teams, the A team edged a
5-3 victory over their B team.
The results mean that Lochgelly A sit proudly
on top of the league table at the halfway mark but are only one point ahead of
East Fife and the two meet each other in the next round. League positions; 1st
Lochgelly A with 40pts, 2nd East Fife (39), 3rd
Cowdenbeath (36), 4th Glenrothes (34), 5th Dunfermline A
(28), 6th Dunfermline B (17), 7th Lochgelly B (16). The
next round will be played on 11th February.
