BOBBY’S WEEKLY REPORT 18th JUNE 2009
Tomorrow night
(Friday) is week one of the CISWO’s 2009 Summer Open Tournament. Each week, for
the next eight weeks, two players qualify for the finals night. Entry fee is
only £1 and should you not be lucky enough to qualify this week, there is no
limit to the amount of times a player can enter, so you can return and try
again on any of the remaining weeks. Players are asked to be in the venue by
7.30 so the draw can be made and the first match toe the oche at 8.00pm.
This Saturday the
national finals of the Scottish Masters will be held at Bannockburn Social
Club. Several players will be representing the Kingdom at this event and
hopefully one, or two, of them will be crowned champion.
Stewart Rattray
earned his place by way of his International team status, while the following
made their way through the play-off’s at the CISWO last month; Rab Shaw, James
Scougall, Alan Small, Ian Cochrane, Connie Miller and Margaret Hatton. Also
attending the tournament will be the players who qualified as a result of their
positions in the final county team averages; Neil Brunton, Mark Thomson, Gordon
Donnelly, Colin Hepplewhite, Moira Murray and Morag Small. Best of luck goes to
all players in their respective championships.
