This Thursday the next round of Super
League fixtures take place in both the men’s and women’s leagues. The women’s
fixtures see Dunfermline sit out with the bye, Shardys have a home tie against
the Royal Tavern, the CISWO play host to Kennoway Bowling Club and the Clansman
versus the Railway Tavern completes the fixtures for this round.
The men’s matches have Lochgelly A at home
at the Auld Shank playing hosts to Dunfermline A, Cowdenbeath await the visit
of East Fife and Dunfermline B are at home against Glenrothes with Lochgelly B
having the bye.
In the last round of the men’s, results
saw Lochgelly A record a resounding 6-2 victory over East Fife, while
Cowdenbeath and Glenrothes had respective 7-1 wins against Lochgelly B and
Dunfermline A. The results mean Lochgelly A are in pole position with 48pts and
have a three point advantage over rivals Cowdenbeath with Glenrothes having
moved up to third place with 43 and East Fife are fourth on 41, Dunfermline A
are fifth with 29, while Dunfermline B and Lochgelly B both have 17 points but
the Dunfermline side sit sixth due to their better leg difference.
In the women’s, Shardys recorded two
fantastic 5-0 wins against the Clansman and Dunfermline to go top with 35
points. The CISWO kept in touch with Shardys with a 5-0 win against the BRT and
are only one point behind in second place. Third placed Kennoway won 3-2 against
the Clansman with the rest of the table as follows; 4th Royal Tavern
(16), 5th; Dunfermline (13), 6th Clansman (11) and 7th
Railway Tavern (10).
